For Practitioners

You are invited to join the
AU+DHD Clinician Circle

A membership for practitioners ready to work with Autistic, ADHD + AuDHD clients from the inside out — not the outside in.

If you believe the world is neurodiverse and not neuro-singular — and you believe systems should reflect that — and you want to be part of that movement — you're in the right place.

AU+DHD Clinician Circle

Most clinical frameworks were built to observe neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD) behavior from the outside.

AU+DHD was built to understand what's happening on the inside.

That difference is important and it changes everything.

The AU+DHD Clinician Circle exists for practitioners ready to make that shift — and to help others do the same.

"To be loved is to be seen."

To the practitioner reading this,

As care professionals, the most powerful thing we can offer our clients isn't a solution — it's a framework that actually fits them. When we bring a neurotypical framework into the room with a neurodivergent client, we're asking them to make sense of themselves through a lens that was never built for their brain.

It doesn't matter how skilled we are — the framework limits what we can see. This portal is about changing that. Not your clinical expertise — your lens.

The shift is simple, but it changes everything: from deficit (how do we fix what's different?) to affirming (how do we help them understand their wiring and navigate from there?).

Your clients know their own experience better than anyone. We are not the expert on their life — we are guides on their ship. They are the captain.

That shift is what the Circle is for.

With warmth,

Tahirat Nasiru, LCSW

A different operating system.
Not a broken one.

A Mac isn't a broken PC. It runs on different logic — different shortcuts, different file structures, different compatibility rules. You wouldn't diagnose it as defective because it can't run Windows software. You'd recognise it as a different operating system, with its own architecture, its own strengths, and its own requirements.

An AuDHD mind works the same way.

Different attentional threading. Different sensory input resolution. Different social protocols. Not deficits — differences. Problems don't arise from the operating system itself. They arise when the environment expects Windows and punishes macOS.

💻

AuDHD Nervous System — The Architecture

Attention
Threaded differently, not deficient
Sensory Input
Higher resolution processing
Social Protocols
Different — not disordered
Environment
Built for one OS; punishes the other

The problem is compatibility. Not the operating system.

Three neurotypes. One initialism.

AU+DHD holds three neurotypes together — and the plus sign is intentional.

Au

Autistic

The autistic experience — including sensory processing, social and communication differences, pattern thinking, and the deep costs of masking.

DHD

ADHD

The ADHD experience — including attentional threading, dopamine-driven motivation, emotional intensity, and time and task regulation differences.

AuDHD

AuDHD — Both Together

The distinct experience of being both — where the two neurotypes interact, compound, and create presentations that neither diagnosis alone fully captures.

The plus sign represents the inclusion and interconnectedness of all three identities. They overlap, interact, and compound in ways that matter clinically. AU+DHD is inclusive of everyone who identifies as Autistic, ADHD, or both — and it names the space between them as meaningful, not incidental.

The Circle is for practitioners who work with AU+DHD individuals — and who want to make the shift towards an inside-out neuro-affirming practice.

🩺

Licensed Clinicians

Therapists, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, and counselors working with ADHD, autistic, and AuDHD individuals across the lifespan. Whether you're newly navigating neurodivergent presentations or deepening a practice already built around affirming care — this is your professional home.

🏫

Educators & School Professionals

Special education teachers, school counselors, educational psychologists, and learning specialists working with ND students in classrooms, IEP teams, and school systems. You sit at the intersection of the child's world and the institution's expectations — the inside-out lens changes how you read both.

🤝

Coaches & Allied Practitioners

ND-informed coaches, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and allied professionals supporting AuDHD individuals in navigating daily life, work, and identity. Your work is relational and practical — the Circle gives you a framework and a community that matches that reality.

All Circle members are verified practitioners before approval. Verification details are included in the application. Applications are reviewed within 5–7 business days.

A movement for change to begin, inside-out.

Posture Before Protocol

Most professional development adds to what you know. The Circle changes how you see.

Before the intervention, before the strategy, before the goal — there is a question: what is this person's world actually feeling like from the inside? That question changes everything that follows.

The inside-out framework draws on person-in-environment theory, autonomy-supportive practice, and what decades of research on ADHD and autism have been quietly pointing toward — that behavior makes sense when you understand the internal neurological, sensory, and emotional experience driving it. This isn't fringe thinking. It's what the research has been building toward. The Circle exists to put it into practice.

An AU+DHD-informed practitioner operates under a person-in-environment framework. This means the client is never evaluated in isolation — they are always understood in the context of the environments, systems, and relationships they move through.

It means constantly holding two things at once: what you were trained in, and what this client is actually responding to. When those two things don't align — the client's reality is the calibration point. Always.

We are not the expert on their life. We are guides on their ship. They are the captain.

The Triple C's — Pillars of AU+DHD Practice

Circle members are practitioners who bring three things into their work:

Courage

The courage to think outside the box — to question frameworks that don't fit, to sit with uncertainty, and to advocate for a client's experience even when the system pushes back. Inside-out practice sometimes means going against the clinical grain. That takes courage.

Curiosity

A genuine, sustained curiosity about each client's inner world — not what their behavior looks like from the outside, but what it feels like from the inside. Curiosity keeps the clinician from assuming. It keeps the client at the center.

Commitment

A commitment to ongoing learning, honest reflection, and growth. The inside-out framework isn't a destination — it's a practice. Circle members are committed to doing the work, individually and together.

What the Circle Does Together

The Circle is a living, working community. Members gather to:

  • Share frameworks and specialties — and collectively explore how to make them ND-informed
  • Share observations from session — patterns, questions, what's shifting
  • Share best practices that actually work with AuDHD clients
  • Brainstorm how existing approaches can be adapted for different nervous systems
  • Share resources — tools, research, articles, visual explainers
  • Connect for referrals and consultations
  • And more — because the collective knowledge in this room is always growing

One membership. Everything included.

No credit metering, no per-use charges, no surprises. Circle membership is designed to support your practice, grow your professional presence, and connect you to a community of practitioners already doing this work.
